Nahtam Social Responsibility organizes saving campaign (6 August 2009)
After the successful launch of "Let’s Save for a Noble Goal!" campaign last week, children and parents received free Hadaaf Saving Boxes to encourage them to save and to instill the spirit of caring for others.
Last weekend, close to 1500 Hadaaf saving boxes were given to children at Khalidiya mall in Abu Dhabi, amongst a cheerful and educational atmosphere, and this weekend more children will be encouraged to join the Hadaaf team and save for a noble goal at Al Wahda Mall starting from 6pm on Thursday 6th August 2009.
This campaign aims to distribute as many free Hadaaf saving boxes as possible, in malls, schools, clubs, and department stores to encourage children to save money for themselves and donate some of it to less fortunate children. One week after Eid, in early October, children will be invited to donate their savings. Through collection points, the funds will be collected across the emirates and the cumulative savings will be announced. All the children’s donations will go to 8 different charity organizations around the UAE.
"Hadaaf", a saving box in the shape of a football, got its name from the Arabic word meaning the "Scorer."
Nahtam Social Responsibility, the organizer of this campaign, in collaboration with the Swiss and Austrian Embassies, hope that this campaign will raise awareness amongst children and parents of the importance of helping others.
This campaign is a part of the Royal Euro 2008 Football Charity Auction supported by Their Highnesses from all 7 emirates of the country and under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs to the UAE, and Official Media Sponsor: Abu Dhabi Media Company, Official Venue: Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, and Support Partners: UAE Football Association, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, South African Embassy, National Bonds, Roche Middle East and Hyundai."
