H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Membernd Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, received tonight at his palace the UAE President's guest scholars, who are visiting the UAE to deliver religious lectures during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The scholars congratulated Sheikh Saud on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him good health and further progress, prosperity and stability for the UAE under its wise leadership.
Sheikh Saud stressed during the meeting the importance of exchange of ideas and dialogue with others so as to deepen the tolerant teachings of Islam and present Islam to others as a religion of tolerance and moderation.
The scholars lauded the President's initiative to invite them to the UAE during Ramadan to deliver lectures on the righteous teachings of Islam.
Sheikh Saud was briefed by Dr. Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, about the programme of multilingual events the President's guest scholars will conduct during the fasting month.
The annual programme is being undertaken in cooperation with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and is hosting an elite group of scholars from Arab and Islamic countries to educate Muslims about an array of issues of interest.
H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, and a number of Sheikhs and local officials, attended the meeting.
